INTERVIEW CRISTINA GRANERO

Cristina Granero, was born in Jódar, Jaen in 1981. She initiates his musical studies at eight years old in Úbeda. After studying in Granada, with Juan Carlos Chornet, she moves to Barcelona to receive Magdalena Martínez's classes and to continue the studies of English Philology. In 2003 she receives a scholarship for the “Junta de Andalucía” to postgraduate in Trinity College of Music of London, where she studies with Linda Coffin y Wissam Boustany, and on the following year she receives a scholarship of the Department of Culture to study in Royal College of Music of London with Paul Edmund-Davies. She has received also a scholarship for the Department of Culture to study in the Hochschule für Musik of Cologne (Germany) with the teacher Robert Winn.

From 1998 to 2001 she was a member of the Young Orchestra of Andalucia, she has collaborated with other orchestras as the OCG, the OBC, etc. In 2001 it was rewarded by Honor's Diploma in the International Tilt of Music of Saragossa, in the category of chamber music by the Wind quartet. In 2003 it obtained 2 º Prize in the soloist's category and in 2005 it won 1er. Prize of JME's Permanent Contest.



Hello, good evening, we are Sandra, Jara, Sergio and Mireia, students of 3rd of ESO, of the institute Hipàtia d'Alexandria, of Lliçà d'Amunt. We would like to do a few questions to you:


             1.       Do you think that music is a good way to express emotions?
        Of course is one of the best to express emotions.
             2.       Can you tell us what do you do to relax when you’re nervous?
        I try to think every thing is going to be fine, but is difficult to be nervous.
             3.       What do you think about today’s music?
        I think that is a problem because they are some groups which made of people that they haven’t got a real music educatio.


            4.       What is your favorite instrument?
                    The flute
            5.       How old were you when you first played?
                   I was eight years old
            6.       What was your first instrument?
                   The flute
            7.       When did you start to play the flute?
                    When I was eight year.
            8.       Do you play other instruments?
                   Yes I studied piano for four years.
            9.       Where was your first concert?
                   I think was in my hometown.
         10.       Who was your first partner?
                   My first partner was a pianist for clas.
          11.       How often do you train every day or week?
                   Normally two three hours, but when I was a student a I trained eight or nine hours.
         12.       When did you start your job? Did you think it would be different?
                   I started teaching when I have 18 or 19.
          13.   When you were young, did you want to work in Music?
                  Yes always.
          14.   Of what your work consists?
                 I played the flute
          15.   Do you like your job?
                 Yes, I love it
          16.   Have you ever wanted to change your job?
                 Well no to caching but I liked other, when I was a child I want to be a dancer or designing clothe.
          17.   What was your experience of study in England?
                 It was fantastic but it was to, to expensive because I was studying in one of the best schools of there.
         18.   One advice to the young people who wants to be musician.
                Work very hard, because especially now that we have a very difficult situation
